I spent some time chatting with Thorontaur today and agree that he'd be a good fit for the Kinship. I've invited Thorontaur in-game - could Rhi provide forum access if I bribe with the obligatory pie?

Hi Thorontaur - sorry for the delay in responding, but I've been busy with work over the last couple of weeks. I've added you as a friend and hopefully we can catch up in-game when I'm next on. If you fancy a trip out somewhere then a few of us will probably be looking to meet up on Sunday at 1400 GMT and you would be more than welcome to come along if you are available. In the last couple of months, we've been spending relaxing Sunday afternoons clearing Roving Threats, and conducting  mildly chaotic raids in Ost Dunhoth, Dol Guldur and Erebor - I think that'll be on hold with a few people away for the festive period, but we should be able to run an instance or two if you are around?

Welcome Thorontaur and thanks for the application. Apologies for the slow officerly reply ... new kin website ... Xmas .... busy ... blah blah.

Middle-aged: check.

Laid-back: check

Hunter: check.

Swedish: check.

You sound ideal to join us.

As Rufus and Jes have said, try and make contact with one or two of us in game, then I am sure we can sort an invite.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks Jez & Ruf! My only character is your average lvl 100 elf hunter. I look forward to meeting you in game!

Hi and welcome Anders!

First question, what level is your character? If you want you can hit me up on my TSM chars Jezriel (Captain) or Escael (Hunter), which are both lvl 100. And Helianth the Hobbit Minstrel, who is mostly downgraded to a crafting alt nowadays and keeps biting me into the kneecaps for that blatant disregard of her usefulness. I have several smaller chars available, though, in level-ranges of 30ish, 40ish and 70ish, so perhaps we can find a combination to team up for a few quests.

See you ingame,

Jez

Welcome Thorontaur, you met me in Minstrel guise in-game (Maedlin) but I am normally Rufus. We are a relaxed and friendly kin who (mostly) realise that there are other things in life than the game but are happy to help each other out or just talk about cookies. I am sure an officer will be along shortly to explain anything that needs explaining Happy

Hi,

I was referred to this kin in-game. Me, I'm a 37 year old Swede, family father and university teacher who play this game much more than most would say I should and much less and more irregular than anyone "hardcore". I play because I enjoy the scenery, basically, and because the basic RP aspects appeal to me. That being said, I would never play an RPG not featuring hobbits.

My previous kin seem dead, and I do appreciate a bit of chatting and helping each other survive content without collecting what more dedicated players would call "decent gear" through repeated raiding and what-not. Oh, I should say, I intend to stay occassional and unpredictable. I will not be interested in getting more things into my calender than I already have.

Best regards,

Anders Broström
